Water Softeners
A water softener sized for your house, not pulled off a price list
Hard water is water carrying dissolved calcium and magnesium. You see it as white crust on faucets and shower heads, spots on glasses, and soap that never quite rinses off. A softener takes those minerals out before the water reaches your pipes, fixtures and appliances.

Helps with
What it fixes
- White scale on faucets, shower heads and glass doors
- Spotty dishes and cloudy glassware
- Soap and shampoo that won't lather or rinse clean
- Mineral buildup inside water heaters and appliances
How it works
- Water passes through a tank of resin beads that hold on to calcium and magnesium.
- When the resin is full, the system rinses it with salt water from the brine tank and sends the minerals down the drain.
- The control valve runs that cycle on its own, so all you do is keep salt in the brine tank.
If you are fighting scale and spots, a softener is usually the piece that fixes it. If taste and smell bother you too, it pairs with whole-home filtration.
Questions
About water softeners
How do I know if my water is hard?
Crust on faucets, spots on dishes and a film on the shower glass are the usual signs. The real answer is a test of your own water, and we can talk that through when you ask for a quote.
Does a softener remove chlorine or chloramine?
No. A softener handles hardness minerals. Taste, smell and disinfectant are a filtration job, which is why many homes pair the two.
